The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on my Porsche 911 Turbo registered an error and I brought it to the dealer to get the issue diagnosed and and estimate for repairs. The issue turned out to be that one or more of the TPMS sensor batteries died after 15 years of operation and the remedy was that all sensors should be replaced. After seeing the dealers estimate to repair, I decided to find an alternative (cheaper) provider. Having some experience with a large well known tire supplier, I visited them to determine if they could replace the inoperative TPMS sensors. They indicated they could, and after trying two different sensors I decided it was time to try another alternative. In all fairness, replacement of the Porsche TPMS sensors can be problematic unless using the Porsche OEM sensors. So I called a local Porsche and euro car garage and they recommended a full service tire company called Samaritan Tire. I called Samaritan Tire in Minnetonka and talked with a pleasant and knowledgeable service writer named Blake. I overviewed the issues I was having getting the sensors replaced AND WORKING, and Blake indicated that they have replaced TPMS sensors on a variety of Porsche vehicles with success. So the next day I drove out and met with Blake and Chris (the owner) and re-explained the issues and the team once again reaffirmed their ability to get the system working – so I authorized the work. I note that Samaritan’s facilities are very modern with several lifts and tire replacement/balancing systems. The work was started within 30 minutes of my arriving, and I was able to peer into the garage area every so often to see how the work was progressing ( I was relieved to see the care that was being applied to the repair of my vehicle by the technician). I was tired of sitting in the large waiting room by myself so I ventured out and was able to chat with Blake and some of the other service writers while my vehicle was being repaired. I found them to be very congenial and knowledgeable. After about an hour and a half, the vehicle was ready for the test ride (I also noticed that Blake had applied tire dressing to the tires, a nice touch), and Chris, the owner took it out to ensure the system was operational. In ten minutes he returned indicating all sensors were working and transmitting. In summary, I was very pleased with the services provided by Samaritan Tire. As I indicated, the tire replacement equipment is state of the art, the facilities are clean and nice, the staff friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated to servicing your vehicle carefully the first time. For these reasons, I would recommend the use of Samaritan Tire for all your tire needs without reservation. Samaritan Tire has two locations, one in Edina and the other in Minnetonka.

Oh my heavens! What a pleasant bunch of people that work there at Samaritan Tires and auto. I will be seeing them in a week to switch back to my winter tires that they have been storing. Almost never have I seen any of them give me a look like the crazy guys here. The mechanics in the back, I was allowed to go and ask them something about my car. And it was like they had been friends of mine and they were just helping me out!. And I don’t mean like good friends are. Well, the mechanic didn’t ask me to loan him money or anything, but… still friendly. And the guys and I think I saw a gal at the front counter are just so informed and pleasant. Cool, calm and collected. And that is not usually me but when I walk in, all the customers and people behind the counter to the mechanics, everybody is just pleasant. Their sales approach put me at ease, and I have been a salesman all my life and it was just comfortable the way they talk to you, but it’s not like a sales pitch, it’s information and you can make some choices. It’s so comfortable even though you know you’re gonna spend some, it almost becomes not an issue. I have heard that they have a fabulous emergency services! but I have not had to use that service, thank the Dog. So go get happy and know that they are doing their best for you! outstanding work, got me the rim and tire i needed when NOBODY else in the cities seemed to have one
